Counter violent extremizing

The Center against Extreme Violence Control and Prevention collaborated with the Ewaso Ng’iro North Development Authority to support four youth and women’s groups through business and entrepreneurial skills training. By building the capacity of these vulnerable demographics and empowering them economically, the initiative aims to prevent the spread of radicalization by providing alternative opportunities for marginalized communities. The Authority’s role in counter-extremism efforts also includes raising awareness and coordinating multi-agency responses across the region. Looking ahead, continued partnerships to enable education, livelihoods, and integration of at-risk groups will be key to sustaining positive momentum in building social cohesion and stability across the Ewaso Ng’iro area.
