The tree seedling planting exercise was undertaken in learning Institution and riparian land in catchment areas of Samburu County.
The Exercise was participated by all pupils and teachers with the help of ENNDA and Forest officials. Trees, either fruit-bearing or non-bearing fruits, were planted inside the school vicinity. The school administration had been instructed to constantly monitor the growth of all planted trees with proper coordination with ENNDA. The students were extremely happy to participate in this initiative and with the help of their teachers they have established conservation clubs which will manage the tree seedling and also ensure of their sustainability. The identified schools are situated in degraded areas within Samburu County and have protected fence to keep at bay stay livestock and wildlife.
